Madrid's town hall
Short Description:
Madrid works, both from the perspective of mitigation and adaptation, on climate change. Among the expected consequences (derived from the vulnerability analysis carried out in 2015) of this phenomenon in the city are mainly: the reduction and change of rainfall patterns, the increase in extreme weather events (increase of between 2.5ºC and 3ºC of the annual monthly average of the daily minimum temperatures and an increase of between 3.5ºC and 4ºC the average of the maximum temperatures), increase in the number and duration of heat waves and the degradation of natural ecosystems. To these are added effects on human health, water or the operation of buildings, among others.
